Updates and other hook related things

It's been a minute since I've given an update which this year I am trying to commit myself to more frequent updates.

My end of year proved to be very busy. Towards the 2nd week of December I got a few orders for the scarf I made for my nephew and various custom orders. So I had my hands full, in between doing the orders someone contacted me about working on a project using plastic yarn to crochet items in an effort to promote recycling. I meet with the owner of the company this Thursday - well tomorrow.

Vogue Live is next weekend and I am indeed attending. I have signed up for a workshop on designing sweaters. It'll be good because I will learn the tools of design and can use that to make shirts and other things. I'm so excited!!! I am making a dress and a poncho to wear to the event. I'm using a pattern from Vogue for the dress.

I'd say a great way to start the year. Vending season will begin soon, so I am going to start working on things using summer/spring yarns. 

I'm really, really, looking forward to attending Vogue Live...cranky...so flipping excited. I'm also excited about this up coming year in crochet for me. If all things beginning indicates how the year will be I am gearing up for a  truly awesome one.
