Black is...
A beautiful color to be simply said. Especially paired with white. I got a few black zentangle squares and white Sakura gelly roll pens and put them to work.
I also did a zentangle of a lynching. As a black artist there has always been a pull in me at some point to do something involving lynchings. I can't explain why that single aspect of my history as a black person has struck and stuck to my soul the way it has. Almost every time I create, eventually a lynching piece will appear. If you believe in past lives, perhaps I was lynched in a former life or lynched someone. Here is the zentangle of the lynching of Laura Nelson in 1911.
